Sacriston nursery and toddler group

Our nursery at Sacriston Academy provides a caring, fun and safe environment where every child benefits from our teacher-led approach.

Our nursery offers free part time places to three-year-olds which are divided equally between morning (8.50-11.50am) and afternoon (12.30-3.30pm) sessions.

Why Sacriston Academy nursery?

Placing your child in our nursery enables them to become familiar with their environment and the staff members in it, making their transition into primary school far easier.

The benefits of a teacher-led nursery

Did you know that a young child's education journey starts a long time before their reception year? We offer an education-based nursery setting with a qualified teacher who provides a stimulating and challenging learning environment. Each child has their own key worker who provides engaging and fun activities, ensuring children are excited and ready for learning from the moment they enter our doors.

Teaching within our nursery focuses heavily on vocabulary and storytelling - all children should be hearing thousands of words every day in order to aid their early writing skills. We also teach letters through a fantastic early reading programme called Read, Write Inc, which gives them a fantastic head start for their reception year.

Toddler group

During term time, we run a toddler group every Friday from 2 - 3pm for children under three. It is a great opportunity for your child to socialise and get used to the classroom environment. New faces are always welcome.

Quotes from parents

My child loves his friends and his teachers. As a parent, I like the outdoor area that the children use to play and develop in. The staff and teachers are so friendly and approachable.
