After a successful Harvest Festival, our Rights Respecting Ambassadors passed on our food gifts to Durham Foodbank, donated by our very kind pupils.
Durham Foodbank relies on the goodwill and support from the local community, as 90% of the food distributed is donated by the public. Our pupils were happy to help and impressed us with their generous gifts and treats.
As well as providing aid for such a good cause, pupils celebrated the Harvest Festival in assembly. They were treated to performances which included an autumn leaves song, a poem all about the importance of healthy eating, before ending with Year 6 telling us about the important work Durham Foodbank undertakes.
Well done and thank you to everyone that donated!
