World Book Day 2018

Date Published:
Thursday 15 March 2018

We have had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day today with lots of amazing costumes, reading and story telling (even if it was later than planned!).

After delaying the celebrations because of snow, our pupils and staff pulled out all the stops to come to school dressed as their favourite characters from their favourite books. And... wow, what a selection of costumes we had - see photos below.

The children were full of excitement and ready to embark on many reading activities planned across the course of the day. A particular highlight was sharing our favourite book with the family members who came into school at the end of the day.

Lucy said: "I like reading because stories can be really fun."

Ted said: "I can't choose my favourite part of World Book Day because there are so many."

Crystal said: "I went to the Book Fayre and picked a book with my nanna and my sister and my mum."

Well done everyone!
