At the beginning of the week, Year 6 had an inspirational day taking part in the Monozukuri Caravan workshop at Nissan, Sunderland.

The children were introduced to the world of car-making and learned all about the different job roles at Nissan.

Following this, the children built their own cars from Lego to help them think about the different processes needed to build a car. The group then set up their very own production line and considered how to make it more efficient, known as 'Kaizen' in Japanese.

In the afternoon, our pupils toured the training centre and got to see a real robot in action - it could even read their names!

The children finished off the day with a range of practical activities which they all loved!
