As part of our exciting Year 1 topic, Moon Zoom, we had a  mobile planetarium brought into school for our very own Sacriston stars to enjoy.

We were joined by an astronomer from Durham University who helped us find different constellations such as Orion's Belt and The Plough. The children had lots of fun stargazing and searching for the nine planets in our solar system. They were all very brave crawling through the pitch-black tunnel into the planetarium!

Charlotte said: "The planetarium was very good because I can see the stars and I can see some planets."

Archie said: "I liked the stars in the sky."

Abbie said: "It was so dark inside."

We are glad to see the children enjoying their topic!
