To kick start their new topic, Street Detectives, our Year 2 pupils braved the wind and enjoyed a tour of Sacriston, lead by our site manager Mr Dooley.
The first stop for our children was the library where pupils looked at a range of history books and maps to find clues about the physical and human features of Sacriston. The group also looked at how Sacriston has changed over time to suit the needs of the villagers.
We would like to say a big thank you to the library staff who provided lots of knowledge and resources to take back to the classroom!
