We are delighted to announce that Mrs Parks has been selected to be a member of the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) Primary Science Panel.
The EEF produces guidance reports for schools that summarise the best available research evidence on aspects of teaching and learning. From the evidence, they then produce guides for teachers to ensure that their curriculum is outstanding. Mrs Parks will join fellow experts to develop a report to support the teaching of science in primary schools across the country.
This is a huge accolade and will support Sacriston Academy at being at the cutting edge of primary science, ensuring our science curriculum remains outstanding and engaging.
In regards to Mrs Park's application, the EEF said: “We thoroughly enjoyed reading your expression of interest and in particular the insightful questions you proposed, which strongly aligned with the questions we too were asking. We were also impressed with your qualifications and experience which are particularly relevant to the role. I am therefore delighted to inform you that we would like to invite you to join the panel.”
