Before half term, Year 2 and 5 had a visit from Nigel Johnson, an aeronautical engineer who works on aircraft engines after spending his career travelling the world.
Nigel developed engines for Rolls Royce, gas turbines in America, used CAD and 3D printers to make his ideas come to life AND... has 2 guinea pigs, a cornsnake and a cat!
As all good engineers do, our pupils now plan to fix a problem! Year 2 have decided that a problem with aircraft is comfort and have tied in their DT skills to create a way to be comfier on a flight.
Nigel's message to the group was to "make sure you choose a job you love"
