The inspirational Grace Darling made her appearance in the classroom this week, telling pupils all about the heroic rescue she carried out off the coast at Bamburgh all those years ago.
Year 2 retold the treacherous events and miraculous outcome through a series of freezeframes and acted out the build up, the rescue and the aftermath.
"She got £50 from Queen Victoria" said Lexie.
Logan commented: "I recognise where she lived because I've seen Bamburgh castle before."
Austin added:"She used a telescope to spot the people drowning."
