STEM session with Northumbria University

Date Published:
Tuesday 13 November 2018

On Monday we welcomed Ollie from Northumbria University into school again for an extra special STEM session.

Children were given a box of Lego, an iPad and a set of instructions needed to build Milo - a small robot. Once assembled, children used algorithms and code to programme Milo to move in all directions.

In the second session, children were challenged with creating the best trailer to carry a toy elephant. A huge well done to our winning team - Daniel, Alex, Ellis, Harry and Joe.

All in all, it was a great morning - well done to all and thanks to Ollie for coming in.
