Yesterday our Year 6 class attended a Safer Futures event at Newton Aycliffe to learn more about how to stay safe in a variety of scenarios.
Throughout the day, the children: investigated a road traffic accident with the Road Safety Team; learned how to stay safe by water with the RNLI; discussed online safety and cyber-bullying with the police; discovered the dangers of electricity with Northern Power; thought about dangers and hazards in the home with the NHS and battled it out in a fire safety quiz with the fire service.
The day was engaging and interactive and all children said they would now be much more aware of how to keep safe in the future. Well done all.
