On Tuesday, our creative Year 6 pupils visited the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art to enjoy an animation workshop.
The day began by using images to design characters in the theme of Mexican 'Day of the Dead'. Pupils then experimented with plasticine and wire to turn their fantastic characters into posable figurines, which they animated using iPads. To make the final animation as smooth as possible, the pupils had to be very precise to make tiny movements between each frame.
Miss Parkin commented: "We had a great day and loved seeing what all groups had created. Mrs Rose, the workshop leader, said the group work and listening skills demonstrated were the best she has ever seen."
Well done Year 6!
