To celebrate the end of their first topic, tunnels, towers and turrets, our Year 2 pupils were very excited to host their very own medieval afternoon!
In preparation, the children researched different medieval foods and had an incredibly messy, yet fantastic, time making their own gingerbread. It looked and tasted very different from the gingerbread we are all used to!
On Friday, parents and carers were invited into school to join the fun. Everyone took part in a carousel of castle and medieval-themed activities such as crown-making as well as sampling the pupils' gingerbread creations.
