Year 2 had an adventurous trip to the Captain Cook Museum this week as part of their new topic ‘Land Ahoy’.
Pupils learned about Captain Cook's life and his expeditions across the world on his ship named The Endeavour. The class weighed up the pros and cons of living on a ship before deciding they couldn't because the food would be terrible!
In the afternoon, Year 2 took part in a carousel of activities including dressing up like captains, writing and creating art with quills and taking a trip to the barrier reef with the help of virtual reality technology.
