This week, our Year 5 pupils had the fantastic opportunity to take part in CPR training.

The children learned vital information such as making sure you complete 30 chest compressions and 2 rescue breaths. Additionally, the children were shown where to place their hands to allow the chest compressions to be carried out correctly.

When learning about rescue breaths, the group were told the important tip to tilt back the head back slightly to allow oxygen to flow more efficiently.

Our children had a lot of fun during the session and gained some very important knowledge!

Joshua said: "It was fun when we practised on the mannequins, if we did it correctly you could hear the clicks."

Lexi added: "I enjoyed it when she explained that the training on the mannequin can be used in real life."
