Autumn activities

Since returning to Sacriston Academy for the new school year, our children have been having lots of fun in the classroom as they explore new topics.

Our youngest children in Nursery have been enjoying the story 'We're going on a leaf hunt'. The group listened to the story, joined in with the rhyme and then created their very own colourful autumn trees using paint and Lego bricks.

Year 2 have been studying the Hindu festival of Navratri in their RE lessons. The group learned that people grow seeds at the beginning of the festival before cutting them as an offering. Our children planted their own seeds and are looking forward to seeing what grows!

Over in Year 6, our pupils have been looking at British Values in their PSHE lessons. The group discussed each value individually and explained why they are important to society.

We are looking forward to hearing what our pupils get up to next!
