On Friday our pupils enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon in support of World Childhood Day where they raised an amazing £175 for the NSPCC!

Nursery enjoyed spending time in the MUGA playing football, tig and they even practised their climbing skills on star island for the first time to celebrate World Childhood Day.

Our Reception children enjoyed free choice in the outdoor area playing games such as vets, climbing on their new climbing frame and popping lots of bubbles!

Year 1 all listened to and valued each other's opinions before working as a team to create their own obstacle course. The class then enjoyed one of their favourite games, disco tig, where they showed off their amazing dance moves!

To celebrate World Childhood Day, Year 2 spent the afternoon creating their own obstacle courses before challenging their friends to complete them in the quickest time.

Our Rights Respecting Ambassadors in Key Stage 2 spoke to their classes about the important work that the NSPCC do to support children and young people around the country who are living with abuse before they also ventured outside to have some fun with their classmates.

Year 3 created stop motion movies using animation frames, sharing knowledge and creating a film for the small screen! They then headed out into the sunshine to simply enjoy blowing and chasing bubbles.

Year 4 spent some time working together in teams to complete some topic hotseating in class - it was competitive but also very fun! The group then went outside to complete some mini activities such as British bulldog with a twist.

Year 5  started their childhood afternoon by designing their own carriages for a class rollercoaster! After that, pupils went outside and took part in a bench ball tournament where they were able to show fantastic teamwork and communication skills.

Our eldest pupils in Year 6 spent some time in the MUGA playing ‘splat’ and having a penalty shootout. Then, they made their own exciting comic books! Joshua said: “It was very fun because we got to do a penalty shootout.”  Summer added: “I liked doing the game splat and the comics because it was really fun.”
