Year 2 have been investigating the equator and the countries and climates that lie along it!

Ellie was in charge of teaching that there is an invisible line that splits the earth in two... the equator! The class recalled the points of a compass and learnt a trick to help remember it, the mnemonic 'Never Eat Shredded Wheat'!

The 'geography agents' were stationed around the corridor teaching the definitions of climates and the 'mini geographers' were working their way round learning each definition in isolation and relating it to different continents.

The class created their own mnemonic to remember them!

Always remember... Pink Angry Iguanas Swim Angrily (Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern, Arctic)

Well done Year 2!
