Our gardening club has been off to a great start over the last fortnight! The children came ready to learn and do some gardening armed with gloves and tools.
The group learned about taking care of the garden and began by removing the weeds and preparing the space needed for planting. The group then investigated some seed packets and discussed how they can find out the information that they need from the back of the packet.
The group then got their hands dirty by filling pots with compost and planting some pea seeds which we hope to grow on in school. We will be watching them carefully over the next few weeks and taking care of them in the hope that they become large enough to plant into our garden so that we can all continue to watch them grow!
