We are celebrating high praise from Ofsted!🤩

Following the inspection at the beginning of June, Ofsted praised our school for upholding high standards of education. Over the course of two days, inspectors scrutinised teaching and learning and concluded that our children are receiving a strong standard of education that meets safeguarding standards.

The glowing report highlights many strengths with an overall impression of happy pupils who are "polite and chatty, keen to talk about their learning and proud to be part of their school community."

Pupils were reported to achieve well and leave our school well prepared for their next stage of education and behaviour was observed as calm and positive around school.

Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and other barriers to their learning were said to be included in all that our school has to offer.

Staff were praised with inspectors reporting that they "form warm, nurturing relationships... which means children are happy and settled."

Speaking of her pride in the report, our Headteacher, Louise Parks said:

"This inspection is our second visit from Ofsted since the school became an academy and it proves that we have now sustained very high standards of education over time. I’d like to thank our hardworking members of staff who go above and beyond every day to provide an excellent offer to pupils. Their hard work and dedication shines throughout the report.”

Tracey Pizl, Chair of Governors, added:

“The Local Academy Council is delighted that Ofsted inspectors recognised the many strengths evident throughout the school. The high-quality education and exceptional pastoral support that pupils receive every day makes Sacriston Academy a truly special place to learn. We congratulate the headteacher and staff on this excellent report and thank them for their dedication and commitment to achieving the highest standards for pupils. The report is one that the whole community can be proud of and celebrate.”
