Today our children came into school in their snazziest pyjamas to raise money for Children in Need.
BBC Children in Need is the BBC's UK charity. Since 1980 it has raised over £600 million for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
Lots of schools across the country like to get involved with the fundraising, and a pyjama day is always a popular choice! At Sacriston Academy we strongly believe in supporting those who need our help so children were asked to bring in a £1 donation in exchange for wearing pyjamas. We raised a very impressive £237.25!
We also had a special visitor in school - Pudsey Bear - who came in to thank us for our donations. Well done everyone and thank you for your generosity... We are certainly in for a comfy day at school today!
