Tracey has a Batchelor of Arts in Primary Education as well as NPQH, (National Professional Qualification for Headteachers).
Tracey's first headship was in 2010 and prior to that, she taught in schools in Newcastle, Wahington and Sunderland, specialising in EYFS during her earlier years of teaching before moving on to teach all year groups.
Tracey has worked worked closely with the local authority to support schools that had been placed in Ofsted categories and LA concerns. She believes that every child is entitled to a first-class education that allows them to pursue their dreams and ambitions. She also believes that talents must be nurtured within the wider curriculum and aspirations actively encouraged so children have the belief that ‘anything is possible.’
On a personal level, Tracey lives with her husband and dog Louis, and has two daughters and two grandchildren.
Since retiring she has taken on the role as an education consultant and continues to work with primary schools within the local authority.
