Year 4 and Year 5 recently ventured out to the Oriental Museum.
Year 4 kicked off the day looking around the gallery answering questions about the different artefacts before taking part in an artefact handling workshop and learning about what they were used for. The group even got the chance to see a real-life mummy and experience a weighing of the heart ceremony - just like the Ancient Egyptians would have done!
Year 5 started their day in the Shang Dynasty, handling objects from the era, such as cooking utensils and scriptures. The group completed a series of challenges such as finding certain objects, before finishing their day creating their own vase patterns by carving into foil.
Great work everyone!
