William Golding

William is Deputy Headteacher at Sacriston Academy and currently teaches in Year 3.

After being awarded his Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Primary), achieved from the University of Durham, William has taught in County Durham. William is a Key Stage Two specialist and over the past ten years has led a variety of curriculum subjects, including Maths, Science, Computing, Geography and History and PSHE, implementing change which has had a measurable and sustained impact on children’s education.

Following two successful applications to the Primary Science Quality Mark (achieving the Outreach Award), William was inducted into the Primary Science Teaching Trust in 2015 as a fellow endorsed by Bristol Chem Labs. Furthermore, William has guest lectured at Durham University’s PGCE (Primary) course and on behalf of Educate and Celebrate. William has also submitted successful applications to recognised awarding bodies such as the Geographical Associations Quality Mark and the International School’s Award. William has recently completed his National Primary Qualification for Senior Leadership.

William believes passionately about education and prides himself on his ability to unlock the best potential in children. He has a strong belief that a strong primary education is key in equipping children with the skills they need in order to achieve their dreams and goals in life.

In his personal life, William enjoys going to the gym as well as being part of a small international book club.
